Vino restaurant at the Brick Walk in downtown Fairfield will be among the local restaurants whose cuisine is featured at the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce "Spring Fling" in April.

The event is slated for April 7, from 6 to 10 p.m., in the Burr Homestead on the Old Post Road.

Vino is owned by husband and wife, Anna and Claudio Lia, who met while working at the former Santee's Manor in Milford. After their marriage, their first collaboration was the former Lia's Restaurant in Trumbull Center.

The couple recently posted signs at the restaurant that read: "Vino and Mare," meaning "wine and sea." The latest menu, in keeping with the new name, will feature Italian seafood dishes, supplied by the fish market the restaurant opened next door.

One of the restaurant's dishes planned for the chamber event is pan-seared scallops with arugula and balsamic glaze.

The couple has three children, and Claudia, their eldest child, is now a partner in the business. Her job is to focus on maintaining standards for the fish market, managing and marketing the site.

Reservations are required for the Spring Fling; tickets cost $60 per person. For more information or to make a reservation, call the Fairfield Chamber of Commerce at 203-255-1011.
