Dan and Ruthie Babich of West Hartford announce the engagement of their daughter, Kirsten Babich, to John Lawrence, the son of Laddie and Katie Lawrence of Fairfield.
The bride-to-be is a 2004 graduate of East Granby High School and a 2008 graduate of Salve Regina University.
She obtained Bachelor of Arts and Science degrees in early childhood education and is privately employed in West Hartford.
The groom-to-be is a 2002 graduate of Staples High School in Westport and a 2006 graduate of Central Connecticut State University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication. He is employed by ESPN in Bristol.
A July 2011 wedding is planned at Amarante's Sea Cliff in New Haven.
