Works by the renowned and hugely successful pop artist Peter Max will be featured Oct. 13-22 at the C. Parker Gallery in Greenwich, and the artist will be celebrated at two public events during the run.

According to the gallery, the “Retrospective — The Collected Works 1960-2017” is the “most important collection of his works ever assembled, and spans decades of iconic and celebrity portraiture and pop influence.”

“Now in the sixth decade of his prolific art career, he is still creating modern masterpieces. This presentation is truly the finest ever on view and available to collectors,” gallery representatives said.

Festivities will begin with an uncrating event on Friday, Oct. 13, from 6-8pm. Max will make two gallery appearances: on Saturday, Oct. 21, from 6-8 p.m. and on Sunday, Oct. 22, from 2-4 p.m. Admission is free, but reservations are required,

Max’s “iconic and most influential pieces” — among them “Statue of Liberty,”“Flag” pieces, “Umbrella Man” and “Cosmic Runner” — will be on display and available for purchase.
