Greens Farms Academy senior boys basketball player Sean Obi has signed a National Letter of Intent with Rice University for a full scholarship.

According to GFA, Obi led the nation in rebounding with 20.0 boards per game as a junior. He led Greens Farms Academy to the NEPSAC quarterfinals with an 18-5 record.

Obi played with Andre Drummond (Detroit Pistons) and Kris Dunn (Providence) on the CT Basketball Club (CBC) AAU team that made a run for the Sweet Sixteen at the AAU Nationals.

Obi, originally from Nigeria, lives with a family in Greenwich and has attended Greens Farms Academy for the past three years with his American brother.
