SOUTHINGTON -- The Connecticut High School Coaches Association, in conjunction with the four state branches of the National Football Foundation, announced Friday the creation of the Hall of Fame Classic All-Star Football Game.

The game will be played on June 29 at 4:30 p.m. at Rentschler Field in East Hartford and replaces both the Governor's Cup game between Connecticut and Rhode Island as well as the Hall of Fame Classic that pits Fairfield County All-Stars against New Haven County All-Stars.

The new all-star game will consist of 110 of the state's top players, who will be selected following a tryout March 24 at the New Haven Field House.
