The campus center at Fairfield University will be transformed into one of Fairfield's largest art exhibitions next week when the Fairfield public schools' 37th annual Townwide Art Show is staged there.

Artwork spanning kindergartners through high school students will be on display from Tuesday, May 31, through Thursday, June 2 at the university's Barone Campus Center.

The exhibit will include more than 900 two-dimensional pieces, plus some three-dimensional works, according to Barbara Pollack , the schools' art coordinator.

"The show is a tribute to the talented students and teachers at our two high schools, three middle schools and 11 elementary schools, exemplifying the progression of work from kindergarten through high school," she said.

The exhibit will be open from 2 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. A reception for parents, friends and school administrators is scheduled Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m.
