Two types of volunteers are needed to help handle the outpouring of support in Newtown.

The United Way of Western Connecticut is working at a call center to help the town manage an overwhelming response from people around the world. The center is looking for volunteers to help cover two-hour shifts between 9 a.m. and 8 p.m. for 30 days.

Also, volunteers are needed to help at the warehouse with the management of donated goods.
