FAIRFIELD — People took to the streets of Fairfield near Tomlinson Middle School on Sunday for the 12th annual Donnelly Dash.

The 3.5-mile run and two-mile walk was founded to celebrate the lives of Tim and Kim Donnelly, who were murdered in their downtown jewelry store in 2005.

The run and walk benefits local charities. This year’s beneficiaries include the Greater Bridgeport Youth Orchestras, Fairfield Police Explorers Post and the Fairfield Police Union Scholarship Fund.
