A 15-year-old Essex Street teen was charged with permitting a minor to possess alcohol after he allegedly hosted a party while his parents were not home Saturday.

Police received a call about a large group of juveniles in the street, and when officers arrived, they found teens in the roadway, on the sidewalk and in a parked car. A 14-year-old girl "rolled out" of the parked car onto the ground and when she attempted to stand up, she fell, according to the report. Later, she began to vomit and lose consciousness and was taken to the St. Vincent's Medical Center in Bridgeport for treatement.

There were nine underage drinkers at the party, police said, and none would admit where they had gotten the alcohol. The host's mother was contacted and she requested her son be taken to police headquarters. The others were turned over to their parents.

He is scheduled to appear in Nov. 26 in juvenile court.
