$4,000 reported missing on Country Road

Wilson Cash, 43, a Bridgeport man charged with beating his girlfriend to death last September is fighting extradition from New York. Cash was recently arrested in Port Chester, N.Y., by members of the U.S. Marshalís Violent Crime Fugitive Task Force. A Country Road resident came to police headquarters Tuesday to report $4,000 missing from a bedroom nightstand.

According to the report, there was a health aide working at the house, who was supposed to work through Sunday, but instead abruptly left Saturday.

The homeowner later discovered the cash was missing.
