FAIRFIELD — The Fairfield March for Babies, which drew hundreds of participants Sunday to Jennings Beach, raised more than $75,000 to support the March of Dimes’ “mission to prevent premature birth, birth defects and infant mortality,” according to event organizers.

More than 400 walkers turned out for the fundraising 3-mile walk, led by the event’s 2016 Ambassadors, Heath and Alyssa Kent of Fairfield, along with their two children, Virginia and Henry.

Walkers who raised $100 or more received an event tee-shirt.
