Bob Streich was steadily filling his red bucket with dinner as he fished Friday at Perry's Green.

A Bridgeport resident, Streich was casting his line in Southport Harbor for snapper blues. "They're good eating, nice and crispy," Streich said. He said he goes to a lot of different places to fish.

"I come here once in a while," he said. "It's nice."

The small, waterfront green in Southport Village sits between the Pequot Yacht Club and private homes, providing visitors with a boat-filled view.
