There's a moose on the loose in the Farifield Public Library, and he likes to read. The stuffed moose can be found hiding somewhere different each week in the children's rooms at the main branch and Fairfield Woods libraries. Children ages 2-12 can find where he is hiding and what he is reading that week to be eligible for a weekly raffle for a new paperback book.

The challenge will run through Sunday, Dec. 29, with two winners per building drawn each Monday on Dec. 9, 16, 23 and 30. Entry forms are available at the children's departments of the Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road and the Fairfield Woods Branch Library, 1147 Fairfield Woods Road.

All programs at the Fairfield Public Library are free.
