American Idol winners to perform at StageOne

Fairfield Theatre Co. will present performances by "American Idol" winners Kris Allen and Lee Dewyze on Friday, Oct. 26, and Saturday, Oct. 27, respectively. Their shows will take place at 7:30 p.m. at Stage One, 70 Sanford St. Doors open at 7 p.m. for both shows.

Allen, "American Idol's" season-eight winner, recently released "Thank You Camellia," following his 2009 self-titled debut album featuring the 1.7 million-selling hit single "Live Like We're Dying," according to a release. He tours often, and has traveled with Keith Urban, Maroon 5, Barenaked Ladies and Lifehouse.

DeWyze, the winner of "American Idol's" ninth season, is a singer, guitarist and songwriter who already had a following on the Chicago club scene when he auditioned for "Idol."

At age 17, DeWyze was discovered by the owners of a Chicago indie record label, which released two of his independent albums before his major-label debut "Live It Up" with 19 Recordings/RCA Records.

Tickets are $25 in advance, $29 at the door and $3 off for FTC members for the Friday show; $22 in advance, $26 at the door, $3 off for FTC members for the Saturday show.
