Anam Cara, Center for Spiritual Life, will have a culinary workshop called "The Sacramental Kitchen" as part of its Worship for Changing Times series on Sunday, Feb. 10. It will take place from 4 to 7 p.m. at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church, 4670 Congress St., Fairfield.
Margaret West, a certified holistic health counselor, will make a simple meal celebrating sacramental foods in the context of meditations and reflections, according to a news release.
West earned a bachelor of arts degree in religious studies from Bethany College, and a master's degree in divinity from Yale Divinity School. She has studied the spiritual life for more than 30 years and spent 18 years pursuing the healing arts and focusing on spiritual integration of food through the kitchen, the release said. A Celtic evening prayer will take place in the sanctuary at 6:30 p.m.
The suggested donation for the dinner is $20.
