Ann Balek Beres, 93, of Fairfield, wife of the late Frank Beres, died Oct. 1, 2010, at Maefair Health Center in Trumbull.

Born in Fairfield, she was a lifelong resident of the town and a long-time parishioner of St. Emery's Church. She was a member of the St. Emery's Ladies Guild and the Seniors group.

She is survived by a daughter, Maureen Laska and her husband Edward of Fairfield; grandchildren Scot Beres, Alison Nork and her husband Jack, Susan Beres and her husband A.J. Keirans and Frank Beres; great-grandchildren Melanie and Joseph Beres, Evan, Hayden and Liam Nork, Richard Beres and Trey Keirans; daughter in-law Audrey Beres; sisters in-law Bette and Lillian Balek, and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a son, Frank Beres Jr. and brothers Adolf, John, Edward, Conrad, Fritz and Joseph.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Road, and at 11 a.m. in St. Emery's Church, 838 King's Highway. Burial will be in Lawncroft Cemetery.
