Ann Klein Yurdin

Ann Klein Yurdin, 104, of Fairfield and formerly of Stratford, died Sept. 7, 2010, in the Jewish Home for the Elderly in Fairfield.
Born in New York, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Zissel and Leah Klein. She was devoted to her family.
She was predeceased by her husband, Irving Yurdin, in 1970.
Survivors include three sons, Carl Yurdin and Zelda Roemer of Eastsound, Wash.; Larry and Barbara Yurdin of Stratford, and D. Ira Yurdin of Burlington, Vt.; seven grandchildren, Seth Yurdin of Providence, R.I.; Ian and Kristen Yurdin of Bend, Ore.; Laura and Mark Birdell of Seattle, Wash.; Beth and Ed Metzendorf of Larchmont, N.Y.; Scott and Rachel Yurdin of Trumbull; and Mera and Devon Yurdin of Oakland, Calif.; five great-grandchildren, Kate and Julia Metzendorf, Bryce and Kylie Rose Yurdin, and Audrey Rose Birdell, as well as several nephews.
Services will take place at 11 a.m. Sunday at New Montefiore Cemetery in Farmingdale, N.Y. Memorial contributions can be made to the Jewish Home for the Elderly, 175 Jefferson St., Fairfield, CT 06825.
