Annual student art exhibit showcased at Pequot Library

FAIRFIELD — The annual Townwide Art Show, an exhibit of artwork by students in all Fairfield public schools, will be on display May 31 to June 2 at the Pequot Library.
The exhibit can viewed during usual hours at the library 720 Pequot Ave. in the Southport section of town. A reception is planned June 1 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., with recommended viewing times of 5:30-7 p.m. for family and friends of elementary school artists, and from 7-8:30 p.m. for secondary school artists.
The exhibit will showcase more than 800 two-dimensional artworks, plus 3D pieces.
At the same time, art by Advanced Placement students at Fairfield Ludlowe and Fairfield Warde high schools is also on display in another exhibit in the library’s Perkin Gallery through June 2.
