Auction event to benefit Wakeman Club programs

A program benefiting Wakeman Boys & Girls Club programs, featuring an auction, food and music, will take place March 12 at the Warehouse of the Fairfield Theatre Co.
The event, dubbed by organizers the “Great Futures Benefit Auction,” gets underway at 6:30 p.m. in the venue at 70 Sanford St.
Proceeds will benefit 150 programs supported by the Wakeman Club in Fairfield and Bridgeport, according to publicity for the event. The program will feature comments from young people who are supported by Wakeman programs.
There will be catered food and beverages, music performed by the local band, Food Zone, and a silent auction featuring items ranging from golf outings and jewelry to vacations and parties. Comedian Alexandra McHale will lead the live auction portion of the evening.
Tickets to the Wakeman fundriaser cost $150 per person (bronze level), $200 per person (silver) and $300 per person (gold). Tickets purchased by Feb. 26 are sold for a special rate of $125 per person.
