The Connecticut Audubon Center at Fairfield’s newest birds of prey will be featured in a Sept. 19 program at the center, 2325 Burr St.
During the event, the birds can be seen up close and Audubon raptor experts will discuss their characteristic features and behavior. There will also be a guided trail walk through the Larsen Sanctuary, as well as time for bird-related crafts, nature activities, snacks and prize drawings.
There will be two presentations at 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and is free of charge, although Audubon officials say donations are welcome.
That day there will also be a 10 percent discount on bird feeders sold in the Audubon Center’s Nature Store.
