Fairfield Theatre Co. will present Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks' "Holidaze in Hicksville" show 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, at StageOne, 70 Sanford St. Doors open at 7 p.m.

San Francisco musician Dan Hicks, known for a blend of folk, swing, country and jazz, has been playing guitar and drums since the 1960s in the bands the Charlatans, Dan Hicks and the Hot Licks and the Acoustic Warriors, according to a release from the theater.

He is best known for songs "I Scare Myself" and "Canned Music," and his irreverent humor can be heard in his songs "How Can I Miss You When You Won't Go Away?" and "Milk-Shakin Mama," the release states.

The band, which incorporates the banjo, fiddle and Django Reinhardt-like jazz guitar along with female doo-wop style harmony singers in its songs, will put a "fiery, jazzy touch" on holiday favorites for their latest album, "Crazy for Christmas," according to the release.

Tickets, at $32 for the general public, $27 for FTC members, may be bought by calling the box office at 203-259-1036 or visiting www.fairfieldtheatre.org.
