A Bennett Street resident told police Thursday that someone tried to break into his home through a basement window. He found the window broken, and the frame slightly bent. There was also footprints left behind in the snow.
Meanwhile, a home on Brooklawn Parkway was broken into sometime Thursday morning. The panel on a basement door was kicked in to gain entry and $10,000 worth of assorted jewelry was taken from a box in the basement. Two iPhones that were in a second floor bathroom were reported taken.
Both incidents are under investigation.
