Bigelow Tea Co. will host its 25th annual Bigelow Tea Community Challenge to benefit local charities on Sunday, Sept. 30, rain or shine, at Wakeman Boys & Girls Club, 385 Center St.

The free event features a 5K road race, a two-mile noncompetitive fitness walk and a kids' fun run. More than 1,000 participants of all ages are expected at the fundraiser, according to a news release.

Last year, the event last year raised more than $100,000; it has raised more than $800,000 to date, the release states.
