The town-sponsored forum on issues concerning beach area reconstruction in the wake of Superstorm Sandy -- originally scheduled for Monday -- was postponed by another storm.
The weekend blizzard prompted town officials to call off the event, with plans to reschedule it for a future date to be determined.
Representatives from the Federal Emergency Management Agency and Small Business Administration, as well as town Building Official James Gilleran, Community and Economic Development Director Mark Barnhart and zoning staff were scheduled to participate.
The panel planned to discuss house elevations, FEMA compliance standards, height restrictions, flood insurance, the financing and permitting processes, and higher costs linked to compliance with new guidelines.
