Fairfield Theatre Co. will present bluegrass bands Cabinet and Hot Buttered Rum at 7:30 p.m. Friday, March 22, at StageOne, 70 Sanford St. Doors open 7 p.m.
Cabinet, from Pennsylvania, has appeared at festivals such as Philadelphia Folk Fest, Floyd Fest, SXSW and Peach Music Festival, according to a news release. It has opened for bands such as Railroad Earth, Zach Brown Band, New Riders of the Purple Sage and The Allman Brothers and Yonder Mountain String Band.
Hot Buttered Rum, initially formed as an acoustic string band, has performed with musicians such as Phil Lesh, Chris Thile, Brett Dennon and Robert Earl Keen. The San Francisco group, playing at StageOne in support of its latest "Live in the Sierra" album, has performed at venues such as Telluride, Newport, Bonaroo, Grey Fox, All Good, High Sierra and Wakarusa.
Tickets, $22 in advance, $3 off for members, may be bought at fairfieldtheatre.org.
