Break-in at occupied Center Street house

Police are investigating a break-in at a Center Street house while residents were at home 12:30 a.m. Sunday

The homeowners said they heard noises in the basement and the sound of doors opening and closing. Their dogs also began barking.

Plastic covering a broken window on the ground level had been ripped off in order to open the window by the intruder to gain entry. It did not appear anything had been taken, but there were footprints found outside the home, police said.
