Police are investigating a break-in at a Fairfield Beach Road early Thursday while the residents were home.

One of the residents told police she had just awakened and went downstairs around 5 a.m., and found a man in the living room. When she realized she did not know him, she screamed and he ran out, carrying a bag.

Several electronic devices and pocketbooks were reported missing from the home, police said. The suspect was described as a white male, in his 20s, clean shaven and about 6 feet, 2 inches tall wearing a dark ski cap, sweatshirt and sweatpants.

It's believed he entered through an unlocked door, according to the report.
