Police are investigating a break-in reported at the Donut Inn, 2480 Black Rock Turnpike, just before midnight Tuesday.

An employee told police she was in the office working on the computer when she heard glass breaking and saw headlights through the window. She shut the office door and called police.

Police found a rock on the ground along with assorted change on the sidewalk.

More than $10,000 in damage done to the business' cash registers and $1,000 to the window, as well as about $15 in change was taken during the incident, according to the report.

Several hours later, police found a cash drawer on Fairfield Woods Road that is believed to have come from the Donut Inn burglary.
