Pink Aid, a grant-based organization founded by Andrew Mitchell-Namdar of Mitchell's stores, has awarded a grant for $52,000 to the Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center. The Breast Care Center is in Bridgeport Hospital, with an office at 111 Beach Road.

In addition to providing financial assistance for screening and diagnostic services, the grant will help medically under served women gain access to support services to help relieve the stress and side effects of cancer treatment, including nutrition counseling, mental health counseling and yoga.

"This gifts means under-served women will have the same access to services as women with insurance or other means of support," said Dr. Donna Twist, executive director of the center.

For more information visit the center on the web at www.bridgeporthospital.org/cancer/breast or call 203-255-5300.
