The Norma F. Pfriem Breast Care Center will hold its 12th annual "Rose of Hope Luncheon" to benefit the center Thursday, June 14, at a private home in Fairfield.

The center, with locations on Fairfield's Beach Road an in Bridgeport Hospital, is part of the hospital's Norma F. Pfriem Cancer Institute. The center, a member of the National Consortium of Breast Care Centers, has served more than 20,000 women and their families since 1999 by providing wide range of diagnostic care and treatment, according to an institute news release.

Daneen Grabe and Linda Blackwell, both of Fairfield, will serve as the event's co-chairwomen for the second consecutive year.

Grabe, a member of the center's President's Council for over five years, has provided philanthropic support to the center. The owner of Ridgefield's The Little Pub has also worked with center patients as a massage therapist and in 2010 was awarded the Rose of Hope Award.

Blackwell having served for five years on the center's President's Council and joined its board of advisors in 2011, has planned many of the center's events and is heading its new social media initiative.
