FAIRFIELD — An officer responding to a separate call nearby noticed yelling on Sanford Street early Saturday morning, leading to charges for a Bridgeport man.
Police said Benjamin Quinones attempted to leave a Fairfield bar and restaurant, Crave, with a drink early July 8 when a security guard stopped him, prompting the 23-year-old to throw ice at the security personnel. Outside Crave, Quinones then allegedly struck a woman’s rear and a crowd gathered in front of Archie Moore’s Bar & Restaurant, the neighboring business.
After he repeatedly denied orders to leave and to provide his identification, an officer attempted to arrest Quinones but he struggled and taunted the officer, according to police. Police said three additional officers responded and, after a struggle, handcuffed and arrested Quinones, of Clinton Avenue in Bridgeport.
Quinones was charged with disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer. He was released on a promise to appear ahead of a July 18 court date.
