Bridgeport man allegedly punched two men in Fairfield

FAIRFIELD — A Bridgeport man allegedly punched two men repeatedly in the face during an argument on Dec. 24.
Police said Ronald Phillips was arguing with two men over changing the TV channel at Operation Hope on Nichols Street on Saturday afternoon. The 49-year-old, whose last known address was Bassick Avenue in Bridgeport, allegedly punched both men repeatedly in the face, causing cuts and swelling.
Police charged Phillips with two counts of third-degree assault and one count of disorderly conduct. He was held on a $500 bond and has a Jan. 2 court date.
