FAIRFIELD — The Connecticut Audubon Society Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr St., hosts an animal storytime on Thursday at 10 a.m. for children of all ages accompanied by a caregiver. The story will be followed by a hands-on opportunity to meet one of the center’s friendly animal residents. Suggested donation is $2. FAIRFIELD — The town tree warden has announced that the United Illuminating Co. is continuing its enhanced tree trimming/tree removal program in the Mill Plain and the Greenfield Hill sections of Fairfield. Work along Mill Plain Road has begun and all other work will begin in December along the following roads: Mill Plain Road to Brookside, corner of Brookside/Burr to Congress, corner of Brookside/Burr to Galloping Hill, corner of Mill Plain/Stillson to Black Rock and North Benson Road starting at Judd Street to Stillson Road.
