A home-grown cookbook, "The Connecticut Farm Table Cookbook," will launch June 13 at the Fairfield University Bookstore, 1499 Post Road.

A reception with authors Tracey Medeiros and Christy Colasurdo is planned from noon to 3 p.m. They will be on hand to sign copies of the book, which features 150 Connecticut recipes and to provide samples of some of their favorites.

Recipes range from quick weeknight meals to restaurant-worthy dishes and incorporate local ingredients, like Connecticut River shad with sorrel sauce from the Union League Cafe in New Haven. The cookbook includes profiles of area chefs, restaurants, cheesemongers and meat and seafood sellers.

The event is free and open to the public.

The "Connecticut Farm Table Cookbook" will be available for purchase at the bookstore event.
