Interested artists are invited to attend the Fairfield County Arts Association meeting on Wednesday, March 12 at Roger Ludlowe Middle School. The featured presenter at the 7 p.m. meeting will be FCAA member Mike Valentine, a full-time cartoonist, illustrator, caricaturist and art instructor.

At the meeting, Valentine will show his portfolio and demonstrate how to draw caricatures. He will also demonstrate how to create cartoon characters and will draw some of the famous characters he has done for publication.

Valentine's commissioned caricatures hang in numerous private and corporate collections all over the world, and he has been a caricature artist at Disney's Magic Kingdom. He has also done work for comic books, and has a syndicated comic strip, "Rocky Concert." He teaches cartooning, watercolor, realistic drawing, and acrylic painting at various schools throughout Connecticut and is a member of the International Society of Caricature Artists.

The Fairfield County Arts Association is a networking club for area artists in all media, on both professional and nonprofessional levels. For more information, visit www.fairfieldcountyarts.com or call 203/259-8026.
