A discussion exploring how and why children get anxious is scheduled Thursday evening, Oct. 27 at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road.
The program is planned at 7 p.m., led by Selbe Ruggiero, clinical director of the New Learning Therapy Center. She will offer strategies for overcoming the sometimes debilitating condition, the library said.
The program is part of the library's Pathways to Parenting series offered September through March. All programs meet in the Children's Library on the second floor of the main branch.
Among additional topics are "Kids and Good Sportsmanship," "A Child's View of the World" and "Navigating the Social Minefield at School."
