FAIRFIELD — A traffic stop Friday night led to the arrest of a Stratford man on charges that stem from a Dec. 25, 2016 incident involving his ex-wife.
Dana H. Muratori, 41, of Albert Drive, was charged on an active warrant with risk of injury to a minor, disorderly conduct, violation of a restraining order, and third-degree assault.
According to police, Muratori’s ex-wife brought their young children to their grandparents’ Fairfield home on Christmas Day. Muratori was there and, despite the restraining order, did not leave, police said.
His ex-wife decided to leave after about an hour and, as her 5-year-old daughter reached for her, Muratori allegedly pushed his ex-wife. According to the report, she fell over the couch and the two got into a verbal argument.
The victim called police the next day to report the incident.
When Muratori was stopped for a minor motor vehicle violation, the officer discovered the active warrant. Muratori was held in lieu of a $50,000 bond ahead of a Feb. 13 court date.
