A concert featuring music of the Christmas season will take place Sunday at the First Presbyterian Church.

The concert is set for 3:30 p.m. in the sanctuary of the church, 2475 Easton Turnpike.

Beverly Blanchard and Danielle Fascione will perform classical, traditional and contemporary selections by Saint-Saens, Warlock, Gounod, Dello Joio, Bach and others.

A reception will follow in the parlor.

Vocalist Blanchard, of Trumbull, has a bachelor of music degree, cum laude, from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. A member of the National Association of Teachers of Singing, Blanchard teaches private voice lessons at her home. She is currently the soprano soloist at the First Presbyterian Church in and previously was the soprano soloist at United Congregational Church in Bridgeport and sings with the professional choir Pro Arte of Connecticut in Stamford.

Pianist Fascione, of Danbury, has a bachelor’s degree in piano performance and a master’s degree in vocal accompanying, both from Boston University. Currently, she teaches music at the Housatonic Valley Waldorf School in Newtown, and is the alto section leader and soloist at First Presbyterian.

A freewill offering will be collected to benefit the Ralph Bowley Pastor’s Discretionary Fund.
