Church to hold amusement fundraiser

Our Lady of the Assumption Church will hold its 20th annual SeptemberFest from Friday, Sept. 14, through Sunday, Sept. 16, on the church grounds, 545 Stratfield Road.

Its hours will be Friday from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., Saturday from 1 p.m. to 10 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The event, the parish's largest annual fundraiser, will include children and adult amusement rides, games, a tag sale, raffles, bingo and food such as pizza, ziti, grinders, hot dogs, hamburgers and kielbasa, according to a news release.

While admission is free, tickets must be purchased to go on the rides. Wristband ride specials will be available for unlimited rides on Saturday and Sunday between the hours of 1 and 6 p.m.
