Congregation Ahavath Achim will commemmorate Tisha B'Av, a day of mourning, at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 29, in the synagogue, 1571 Stratfield Road.

The program will include a discussion led by Rabbi Mitchell Rocklin and the screening of two films, "Understanding the Human Tragedy of the Exile of the Ten Tribes" and "Destruction of the Jewish Kingdoms," the synagogue said in a news release.

Rocklin will reflect on what happened during the destruction of the early Jewish Kingdoms, according to the release, concentrating on the human tragedy of the first Jewish Holocausts.

The program is free and open to the public.
