A South Pine Creek couple faces charges after an argument over infidelity at their home last Friday night.

Dorothy Michalowski, 34, flagged down an officer at the intersection of Pine Creek and Oldfield roads and told him about a dispute with her boyfriend, Matthew Morse, 40.

Police said during the argument, Michalowski took Morse's cell phone and hit him in the side of the head. She said she got in her car to drive to her parents' house when Morse lay down across the hood of her car and remained there while she drove slowly down the street. It's unclear if Morse was still on the car's hood when Michalowski flagged down the officer.

Michalowski was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, while Morse was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.

Both were released on a promise to have appeared Monday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
