A man and woman both face charges after an argument early Tuesday turned physical, police said.
John Best, 32, of Parkway Road, was charged with third-degree strangulation, third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, and his girlfriend, Alexandria Timoshin, 33, of Mail Coach Court, Wilton, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct.
The couple was at Best's home when Timoshin asked for her cell phone, which Best had taken away from her earlier, police said. She grabbed the phone, according to the report, and Best put his arm around her neck and tightened his grip, police said. Timoshin bit him on the hand, she said, to release his hold.
Bond for Best was set at $1,000 and Timoshin was released on a promise to appear. Both were scheduled to appear later in the day at Bridgeport Superior Court.
