A Norwalk man and woman were cited for creating a public disturbance early Friday after police said they were seen having sex in a car in a downtown restaurant’s parking lot.

Police were called by employees at the Colony Grill who said the couple, naked from the waist down, were having sex in a Volkwagen Passat parked in the lot behind the restaurant, and could be seen as customers were leaving the business, according to the report.

Norwalk resdients Joshua Vanleeuwen, 36, of Silvermine Avenue, and Lucy Demmerle, 27, of Tut Hill Road, were both issued disturbance infractions by police.

Vanleeuwen allegedly told police that the couple “got caught up in the moment,” according to the report.
