Jake Sabas, 22, of Milford, was charged with driving under the influence and following too close Wednesday night after rear-ending another car at the intersection of Kings Highway East and Longfellow Avenue, which caused that car to hit another, police said. No one was injured in the crash, police said.
When officers arrived on scene, they allegedly detected a strong odor of alcohol and said Sabas was slurring his words. He failed his sobriety testing, police said, and refused a Breathalyzer test.
Sabas' bond was set at $100 and he is scheduled to appear May 4 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
