A 29-year-old Jennings Road woman was charged Thursday after police said she left two young children in the car during frigid weather while she shopped.

Tatum Roberts was issued a misdemeanor summons for two counts of leaving a child under the age of 12 unsupervised.

Police said a 3- and 9-year-old were left in a car in the parking lot of CVS, 310 Jennings Road, around 4 p.m. while Roberts was in the store shopping.

According to the report, the car was not running and the temperature was around 19 degrees.

When questioned, Robert told officers, "I don't see what the problem is," according to the report.

She was released on a promise to appear Feb. 5 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
