Luz Pagan, 34, of Nichols Street, was charged with driving under the influence and distracted driving after police said she rolled through a stop sign at the Old Post and Beach roads last Friday afternoon.
An officer on patrol spotted Pagan and said she was looking at her cell phone while driving. According to the report, Pagan then failed field sobriety tests and answered her phone twice while the officer was trying to gather information during the incident.
She was also charged with failure to obey a stop sign.
Pagan was released after posting a $50 bond and is scheduled to appear July 14 at state Superior Court in Bridgeport.
