Benson Ajissefinni, 25, of Larkin Court, Stratford, was charged on a warrant Thursday with sixth-degree larceny.
According to police, he drove off from the Citgo gas station at 1096 Post Road without paying for $87.48 worth of gasoline on April 22. Employees, however, got Ajissefinni's registration plate number.
He was released on a promise to appear July 9 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
