A 37-year-old New Jersey motorist was charged with driving under the influence and failure to drive right early Sunday after a patrol officer noticed him driving erratically in the Southport neighborhood, police said.
Michael Krieger, of Oakland, N.J., failed field sobriety tests after officers stopped his car on Spruce Street about 2:52 a.m., police said. Police said Krieger twice stopped his car on Spruce Street for no apparent reason and that Krieger told officers his GPS unit had gotten him lost.
Krieger was released on $50 bond and was scheduled to appear June 3 in Bridgeport Superior Court on June 3.
