An estranged husband and wife were charged after a verbal argument in the wife's Wood House Road driveway last week turned physical, police said.

A witness called police Aug. 7 to report Jonathan Walsh, 30, of Putting Green Road in Trumbull, was being attacked by his wife, Lindsay Walsh, 29, police said.

According to the report, Jonathan Walsh had a protective order against Lindsay Walsh stating that she was not to harass, argue or fight with him in front of their children. The argument was apparently sparked when Jonathan Walsh confronted his wife with text messages that he said proved she had been unfaithful, according to the report.

Jonathan Walsh was issued a summons for disorderly conduct and released on a promise to appear last Friday in Bridgeport Superior Court.

Lindsay Walsh was taken into custody and charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree assault and violation of protective over. She was released on a $25,000 bond and was also scheduled to appear last Friday in Bridgeport Superior Court.
