Two Fairfield University students face charges after police said they damaged the sideview mirrors on five vehicles parked on Reef Road around 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

Police received calls from two witnesses about the vandalism as it was happening, according to the report. When officers stopped the pair, they said they found that both of the accused had fake identification cards in their possession.

Christopher K. Tortolani, 19, of Barrington, R.I., was charged with third-degree criminal mischief and third-degree forgery. Andrew Riina, 20, of Baltimore, Md., was charged with third-degree forgery.

Both were released on a promise to appear Oct. 9 in Bridgeport Superior Court.
